If you haven't heard of PHIL BROWN...check this out Phil Brown, a six string avatar has worked in the industry for over 30 years as a musician, session player, songwriter, producer, engineer, etc. In the early 80s, he replaced guitarist Lowell George in Little Feat for a while. However, he preferred writing and soon Phil wrote over 270 songs for the biggest, such as Trouble Walking' for Ace Frehley/ KISS; Cher/Black Rose Album; Bonnie Tyler/Matter Of The Heart; Phil also wrote for KIX, Pat Benatar, Steve Perry, Tower of Power and for many other luminaries(refer to Phil’s discography) Out of a dare, Phil records his interpretation of his favorite Jimi Hendrix tunes. [the jimi project] has landed and the CD street date was March 28, 2006. [the jimi project] started as an experiment. Phil Brown produced [the jimi project] CD– Phil played guitar and vocals, while long time friend Jimmy Haslip from the Yellowjackets sat at the bass, and Gary Novak, drummer for Chick Corea for 7 years and Alanis Morrissette for 12 years, beat the sexy tempo.
